Safety Jogger Works introduces FEATHER, its lightest safety shoe ever

Oudenaarde, Belgium – September 7 – Safety Jogger announces the launch of FEATHER S1PS, a new generation of lightweight safety footwear for professionals working in logistics, manufacturing, assembly and other indoor industrial environments. Weighing just 280 grams (size 42), FEATHER is the lightest certified safety shoe in the company's range and the lightest in its class.

Every material and every component was carefully evaluated to create a safety shoe that delivers certified protection in an exceptionally lightweight design.

Despite weighing only 280 grams, FEATHER complies with the EN ISO 20345:2022 + A1:2024 S1PS standard and incorporates SR slip resistance, ESD protection, a scuff cap (SC) and a lightweight anti-puncture midsole (PS).

Its low weight is the result of multiple engineering innovations working together. A supercritical foam midsole, inspired by performance running footwear, delivers lightweight cushioning and shock absorption. The single-layer knitted upper and unlined construction remove unnecessary layers and padding, creating a lighter, more breathable shoe.

The shoe also features a cut-out rubber outsole, with rubber strategically placed only at the heel and forefoot to reduce weight while maintaining SR-certified slip resistance. FEATHER also becomes the first Safety Jogger shoe to feature a full carbon toe cap, approximately 50% lighter than comparable nano-carbon alternatives while maintaining certified impact protection.
