Why plant trees?

To contribute to a better world, we have developed our eco-friendly shoe MORRIS which exists out of recycled and renewable materials.

However, our commitment to sustainable development goes way beyond that!

We started a partnership with WeForest to plant trees in the wildlife corridors of Brazil, to give nature and the environment a boost.

Together we take the necessary steps towards a more sustainable world!

What is WeForest?

WeForest is an organization that helps communities by supporting the reforestation of green zones around the equator. The outcome of these projects result in the removal of excess carbon from our atmosphere.

The goal is to successfully transform 250.000 hectares of forest landscape by 2021, restoring 25.000 hectares of forests with an estimated 25 million trees.

But sustainability is about more than just planting trees, it's about the overall result for the environment and for the people who live in the areas where trees are planted. Regaining ecological integrity to enhance human well-being is key to ensure the forest will be protected for the long term.

Where do we plant trees?

Our project will contribute on the Wildlife Corridors in Brazil.

The Atlantic Forest has been reduced to green fragments due to unsustainable agriculture. This has affected the rich biodiversity in the area. WeForest is planting trees to reconnect these forest patches, creating more space for animals so they can thrive again.

Why this project?

The Atlantic Forest used to be 6 times the size of the United Kingdom where it is now only a forest by name… Over the course of 20 years, it has lost over 80% of its original forest cover due to agricultural expansion.

With our contribution we will help build a movement that will show that we can win the battle against deforestation. When people start making a living from restoring and protecting forests instead of from cutting them.
