Some facts about the Mont Ventoux

Every year, 4.000.000 people are visiting the lonely mountain in the middle of the Provence. The Mont Ventoux is well known because of landscape on top which looks like you arrived on the moon. With a distnace of 21,4km, the wind and the heat, the Mont Ventoux is a challenge for every cyclist. In the history of the Tour de France, the finish was 7 times on the top of the Mont Ventoux. Also in 2009, the Tour de France will visit this steep mountan. The past winners:
